Card Fuel and Associated Services

Further to the NSWBUY alert dated 24 December 2010, the State Contracts Control Board would like to confirm the commencement of Contract 370: Card Fuel and Associated Services, from 1 January, 2011 under new terms and conditions. Suppliers on the new contract are Caltex, Shell and BP.

Benefits
The new arrangement provides flexible pricing options including discounts off reference price and pump price. Some suppliers have provided pricing options to customers offering the lower of weekly reference price or daily pump prices (see the FUELnet website for further details).

The new contract consists of improved fuel discounts per litre ensuring that customers will benefit from substantial net savings. Transaction fees are now clearly distinguishable, enabling a transparent fee structure. In addition, the contract has early payment discounts as an optional feature for clients.

As part of the introduction of the new contract Caltex have waived all transaction fees for purchases made in January, 2011. Shell is also offering contract discounts until March, 2011. While significant savings can result from the introductory discounts, users of Contract 370 are reminded to check arrangements with all three suppliers on the panel to ensure they receive the best value.

Account holders are reminded they should have ceased purchasing from Contract 366 and switched to one of the suppliers on the new Contract 370. NSW State Fleet-managed clients must contact StateFleet for any advice in relation to this matter.

Establishing new accounts
Eligible buyers wishing to immediately establish accounts with Caltex, Shell or BP on the new contract can do so using the relevant Contract 370 application form, available to download from the FUELnet website or by contacting the NSW Procurement Client Support Centre. Eligible buyers must quote their NSWBUY Identification Number on the application form. Please note NSW StateFleet-managed clients do not need to complete applications and should contact StateFleet directly.

Caltex fuel cardholders established under Contract 366 can access the new contract pricing using their existing cards. In addition, Shell E10 cardholders (established under Contract 366) may purchase other fuels such as unleaded and premium petroleum using their existing cards at the new contract pricing.
