State Contracts Information Folder

The 2010 Guide to Purchasing from State Contracts
The Guide to Purchasing from State Contracts has been updated and is now available as an eBook. Click here to view.

The Guide provides information on contracts and panels established by NSW Procurement on behalf of NSW Government. The Guide is a valuable resource as it opens doors to major savings for your organisation.

Government Telecommunications Agreements Extensions
NSW Procurement has completed an extension of the Government Telecommunications Agreements (GTA) Category 3 - Fixed Voice and Category 4 - Mobile Voice. Both categories have been extended to 31 March 2012.

The extension delivers significant new savings with vendors presenting reduced pricing and new service inclusions. The extension also provides additional supplier choice in Category 4 - Mobile Voice.

Salmat Printing Arrangements

The NSW Government's printing arrangements with Salmat ended on 15 April 2010.

Upon expiry, there will be no State Contracts Control Board arrangement for printing in place.

Agencies will be able to act independently for the procurement of printing. However Agencies procuring printing requirements will have to do so in accordance with the State Contracts Control Board Delegations.

Changes to the General Purchasing, Printing, and Disposal Delegations

The State Contracts Control Board has approved changes to the delegations for General Purchasing, Printing and Disposals. These changes will become effective from 1 June 2010.

New Natural Gas Contract (c4000)

The State Contracts Control Board has awarded the Retail Supply of Natural Gas - Small Sites to AGL.

The new contract rates will commence on 1 June 2010 providing competitive discounted rates for all your small sites natural gas needs.

While agencies will see an increase in the gas prices under the current contract, due to industry and economic pressures in the energy sector, savings under this new contract are up to 12% off the standard IPART tariff rates.

Local Jobs First Plan
Treasury Circular TC 10/03 and Premier's Circular PC 10/09 on the Local Jobs First Plan were issued 9 April 2010 and 16 April 2010 respectively.

The Local Jobs First Plan replaced the Government's earlier Economc Development Guidelines in June 2009. The Plan improves opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within Australia and New Zealand to supply goods and services required by NSW Government agencies.

The Plan and further information including implementation requirements and model Request for Tender clauses are available on the NSW Government procurement website.

ITS 2007 Contract - Desktop and Notebook Computers



The State Contracts Control Board (SCCB) has approved a one year extension of the ITS 2007 PC contract to 30 April 2011.



The key contract extension features include:
  • Equivalent or better Government Standard Specification (GSS) price thresholds
  • Improved GSS product specifications in some categories
  • A quarterly price review commencing 1 August 2010
