Workplace Supplies Contract |
The Workplace Supplies contract (lots 1-7) commences today. It will deliver savings, convenience and flexibility to Government agencies, NGO’s and Local Councils by enabling the ordering of a wide range of products from a smaller number of suppliers. The contract provides core workplace supplies such as paper, stationary, toner and inkjet cartridges, janitorial items, kitchen and canteen items, and office and educational furniture.
Other benefits include;
1) A “Best-Price” Contract – a single price per supplier per item. This means that all clients receive the same pricing for items bought under similar circumstances.
2) Projected overall savings of 5%* on price.
3) Continuous Best Price and Benchmarking provisions work to facilitate improved pricing during the life of the contract.
4) A single place to compare pricing and products of suppliers on this contract, via the smartbuy® nswbuy catalogue.

Please note:
1) NSWP is conducting an additional supplier intake for Copy Paper (lot 2) and Environmental Copy Paper (lot 7b).
2) The intake will be for the same requirements as the original Request for Tender for Workplace Supplies (c1006), and is targeted for completion mid 2010. |

Accessing the nswbuy catalogue |
We will be hosting the Workplace Supplies catalogue on our smartbuy® nswbuy catalogue.
1) Log onto smartbuy® TRADE
2) Click “Catalogues” on the left hand side menu
3) An External Catalogues box will show centre page, click on the “NSWBUY Catalogue” link.
smartbuy® administrators may need to add the nswbuy Catalogue into your filter on smartbuy®, so that users can see the nswbuy Catalogue link on smartbuy®. This is only required if the nswbuy catalogue link is not visible.
To refresh your memory on how to add the nswbuy catalogue to your filter in smartbuy®:
2) Go to "Training Assistance Documents"
3) Select Adding Contract Filters
4) Follow the prompts
5) (The system will update your agency’s view overnight).

To refresh your memory on adding users to smartbuy®:
2) Go to "smartbuy® User Administrator Training"
3) Select User Administration Simulation
4) Click on <Run> when the dialogue box appears and follow the prompts.
