Save now by transferring to new metering and metering data agency services contract |
|
|
If your agency currently purchases from 'Retail Supply of Electricity (Large Sites) - contract 777, you should consider transferring the metering component to a new stand alone contract - Retail Supply of Electricity Metering and Metering Data Agency Services - contract 778.
Savings
Costs associated with metering services in the new contract 778 are lower compared to contract 777. For a nominal fee customers are able to access detailed energy data in the new contract using an on-line feature called WebGraphs, which is not available in contract 777.
Who can use the contract
Large sites with electricity consumption exceeding 160 MWh pa are able to use the new contract 778 for the provision, installation, servicing, maintenance and inspection of electricity metering equipment. The contract also provides for meter reading, data validation and data forwarding to the retailer.

Suppliers on Contract
NSW Procurement will be introducing the new State Contracts Control Board's Workplace Supplies contract in February, 2010. The key implementation dates and all other information can be seen on our website.
The Workplace Supplies contract will offer almost 26,500 items categorised into lots and sub-lots (a grouping of products). Suppliers are contracted to supply items from specific lots or sub-lots only. Click here for a table showing the lots and / or sub lots, and the suppliers contracted to each of these.
Single catalogue for Workplace Supplies
We will be hosting the Workplace Supplies catalogue on our smartbuy® nswbuy catalogue, once the contract commences for all lots. To view the contract catalogue and compare prices in one place, you need access to the nswbuy catalogue.
Depending on your situation, follow one of the instructions below to register:
- Contact your smartbuy® administrator within your organisation and request a login
- If you are unsure whether your organisation has a current smartbuy® administrator, contact the NSW Procurement Client Support Centre on 1800 NSW BUY (1800 679 289)
- If your organisation has no smartbuy® administrator, click here to register. Click on smartbuy® and choose "Search & Browse Account" (to view products, prices and suppliers)

Government Telecommunication Agreements (GTAs) |

The Government Telecommunications Agreements (GTA) continues to evolve and deliver significant value to eligible customers throughout New South Wales.
GTAs have expanded to include GTA Category 5 - Telecommunications - Telecommunications Products and Services. This category compliments the existing categories of 1A Data Services, 3 - Fixed Voice Services and 4 Mobile Voice Services by providing you with the products and services needed to leverage your telecommunications network.
Included within GTA is such products as PABX Systems, Voive Over IP (VOIP) Systems, Voice and Video Conferencing as well as Wide Area Network Products, Network Management Services and other products, accessories and services commonly purchased throughout the state. A new contract is in place for Sanitary Napkins, Nappy and Sharpes Waste Disposal. This contract provides safe, efficient and flexible supply chain solutions for the provision of waste related washroom disposal services. Retail Supply of Natural Gas |

|

The State Contracts Control Board (SCCB) has approved an interim contract with the current contractor AGL for the supply of Natural Gas to cover the period up until the new contract is signed. The interim contract will be under the same terms and conditions and rates as the existing arrangement - contract 4000.
Further information will be communicated to agencies about the arrangement and transition activities once the new contract is executed.

Microsoft Windows 7 Release |

|
The release of Microsoft Windows 7 to the general market was widely publicised in October. Please be aware that Windows 7 upgrades are available to Government agencies via the Microsoft Large Account Reseller Panel ( State Contract 2311). For further information please click here.

The Path to Good Health |
|
|
A new state contract for healthy workforce programs is now available for government agencies. The contracts include the supply of services that cover health screenings, influenza vaccinations, awareness campaigns and health and wellbeing surveys; products offered include online support (such as services that include online health assessments), weight loss and lifestyle plans, and expert training programs for events. Fuel Savings Extended |
|
|
The State Contract for fuel helps a range of agencies achieve savings of approximately 4 - 5 cents per litre on bulk and retail card sales. The fuel contract now runs to until June 2010, with an increased range of suppliers to boost competition and generate greater savings for customers. It also includes fixed weekly contract prices ( calculations vary depending on supplier) , 21 day credit terms and free fuel transaction data in a variety of formats. The contract is also evidence of the Government's commitment to environmentally friendly energy sources, offering biodiesel and E10 options.
