Government Telecommunications Agreements Extensions
NSW Procurement has completed an extension of the Government Telecommunications Agreements (GTA) Category 3 - Fixed Voice and Category 4 - Mobile Voice. Both categories have been extended to 31 March 2012.

The extension delivers significant new savings with vendors presenting reduced pricing and new service inclusions. The extension also provides additional supplier choice in Category 4 Mobile Voice.

Category 3 - Fixed Voice
In summary Category 3 suppliers include AAPT, Macquarie Telecom, Message Stick, Soul and Telstra. Optus voluntarily withdrew their service offerings for Category 3 - Fixed Voice and Powertel service offerings are now delivered under the AAPT brand. Customers that had a fixed voice agreement with Optus at 31 March 2010 should note that service provision will continue for the remaining term of their agreement.

Category 4 - Mobile Voice and Paging
In summary Category 4 suppliers include Macquarie Telecom, Message Stick, Optus, Pivotel, Telstra and Vodafone Hutchinson Australia. Vodaphone Hutchinson Australia (the entity formed as a result of Hutchinson Australia and Vodaphone merging in 2009) are now approved to provide Mobile Products and Services in addition to Paging Services.
