IT Hardware Contract  (c846 ) - Correction

State Contract c846 (Midrange and Enterprise Servers) is to be renewed and renamed as State Contract c2846 (Storage, Server Platforms and Virtualisation Technology). Tender evaluation of c2846 is progressing and it is expected the renewed contract will commence April / May 2010.


Agencies may continue to purchase through c846 which has been extended to 30 April 2010.

The renewed contract will assist the development of data centre focused technologies enabling alignment with Data Centre reform program objectives of the NSW Government. The enhanced specifications will also take advantage of emergent technology such as Server Virtualisation.

The main objective was to secure a competitive price from a limited panel of suppliers and provide a framework for price and performance management.
