The next release of eTendering improvements, scheduled for Friday 5 March, will benefit both the Public and Agency Users.
Listed below are the main improvements:
Contract Notice (Multi) - Supplier Notification
Currently, when creating panel contract notice, with multiple suppliers the system sends email notifications to all suppliers ( that have requested to be notified ) each time a new supplier is added. The change will ensure each supplier is notified only once, when the contract notice is published.
Search - inclusion of a sitemap
To improve the Google search results, the change introduces a sitemap, which will be regenerated nightly and an update notification is sent to search engines. This change will assist and improve newly created tenders and contract notices being indexed.
Search - result list label
Currently, the 'department name' and the system status of the object (eg "NSW Department of Commerce - Archived Tender Detail...) is provided rather than something that people can easily identify. The change will provide identifiable named details - like RFT ID / Title, CN ID / Title - in the results title strip.
Website look
The website banner will be updated to incorporate the new NSW waratah and agency logo(s).
RFT Distribution & Responses Report - include opening
The report improvement will now include details of tender box openings, the date/time & reason will be provided if opened more than once. This feature is optional and can be set at the agency level.
File Uploader - new method
A new method for file uploading will be introduced across the NSW eTendering website (both public and agency administrator websites). The change will include more detail information and provide progress feedback on the file upload progress. The feature will be introduced in all places where a file needs to be uploaded to the server.
ABR Service - alternative process when not available
An alternative backend process will be introduced to validate ABNs if the 'real-time' ABR Services becomes unavailable. The transition to the alternative process is transparent to the user and it will eliminate any delay during tender lodgement. |
